An Emergency Alert Button Could Save Your Life
Knowing that help is only a push of a button away, gives seniors and the disabled the dependence, security and confidence they need and deserve. An emergency alert button helps by providing a connection to an emergency response center. The answer center responds to your needs if they are able to talk with you. When they cannot communicate with you, they dispatch an emergency first responder immediately.
Several brands and options are available.LifeFone is the original device for an emergency response. ESS Electronics, Inc. in White Plains, New York is the manufacturer. Installation with registration runs between $75 and $95. The system consists of a LifeFone medical alarm system and a LifeFone pendant. When you push the emergency medical button on the pendant, it sends a broadcast signal through the alarm system to the LifeFone emergency first response center. You have the choice of wearing the pendant as a necklace or a bracelet. The cost varies depending on if you need more than one of the two-way waterproof emergency pendants. The cost of the monitoring service runs around $25 each month. A subscriber can list as many emergency contacts as desired. A computer record of your address and personal medical requirements is stored at the response center. This critical information displays as soon as the broadcast alerts the center. It takes 90 seconds to connect to the emergency response center once the button is pushed.
